Attend organized Lifestyle activities, such as CLOUD NINE and meet others with
the same
interests. If you become interested in a couple, make a polite invitation to the
couple to get
together with them. If there is mutual interest, the couple will normally
acknowledge the
invitation positively. If they do not, do not push it.
ORGANIZED ACTIVITIES---OFF PREMISES
At off-premises events, space or accommodations are not provided for engaging in
sexual
activity. Couples wishing to go further than the social interaction must make
other
arrangements to do so. Off-premises activities take three forms:
1. Socials put on by local swing/Lifestyle organizations;
2. Bars and discos that cater to people interested in the Lifestyle; and,
3. Swing or Lifestyle associations/discussion groups.
Socials are usually held at hotels and are just meeting places for people with
the same
interests. This way, rooms are easily acquired if people choose to party. The
socials can
be a privately held dance or could be at a bar or disco as an informal get
together.
ORGANIZED ACTIVITIES ASPECTS
The actual sexual activity engaged in by swingers can be as varied as the people
involved.
Everything, however, is ALWAYS CONSENSUAL.
Who swings, or parties, with whom, when and where, is also agreed upon
individually by those
involved. There are a few standard arrangements that can be seen at most
parties.
Threesomes
Three people, two of one gender and one of the other. In this
situation, all
three people may interact with each other (it is fairly common when the
threesome is two
women and one man), or two of the people (usually of the same gender) may be
interacting
only with the third (which is common when the threesome is two men and one
women).
Couple to Couple. One couple pairing up with another couple. They may exchange
partners
and go to separate areas to engage in sexual activity (called closed (or
separate room)
swinging as the primary partners are not in the same area).
Bisexuality
People of the same gender sexually interacting. This is fairly
common among women
in the Lifestyle; though not all women by any means. Bisexuality among men in
the Lifestyle of
swinging is rare.
Petting. Caressing and touching, sexual fondling and kissing is commonly seen among
opposite genders.
Voyeurism. Watching others who are involved in sexual activity. Voyeurism may be
acceptable in
some situations, such as open areas, but not so in private areas.
